Clerkships at JWS

Joining our Clerkship program is the best way to see what your future with us would look like.

As a clerk you will have the opportunity to:

• work with leading lawyers across our national network – our high level of senior lawyer engagement will give you more opportunity to shape your career and step up
• work across all practice areas without being bound by a fixed rotation
• learn from a structured development program tailored for you
• gain exposure to complex legal issues

Our Clerkship program

In our Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth office we offer 3 to 4-week summer and winter clerkship programs. In our Sydney and Canberra office, we offer a 10-week summer clerkship program with a 2-week break over the Christmas / New Year period.

• Summer 1 – Monday 25 November 2024 to Friday 20 December 2024. Clerks in Sydney and Canberra return on Monday 6 January until Friday 14 February 2025.
• Summer 2 – Tuesday 28 January 2025 to Friday 21 February 2025
• Autumn – Monday 7 April 2025 to Friday 2 May 2025
• Winter – Monday 23 June 2025 to Friday 18 July 2025
