Advised multinational content and technology company LexisNexis on its acquisitions and a broad range of its technology, telecommunications, privacy and commercial matters, including content licence and reseller agreements, telematics applications, and technology integrations.
Advised multinational technology giant Microsoft on its most strategic and complex whole of Government and major enterprise volume licensing contracts for Microsoft products and services; the application of Australian telecommunications regulations to its Teams, Teams SMS, Azure Communications, Azure Orbital, Express Route products and services and its wholesale and joint venture agreements with Telstra; and the Australian implications of the US Clarifying Lawful Overseas Use of Data Act, including potential US-Australia bilateral agreements.
Advised Australia’s largest energy retailer Origin Energy on its agreements with SAP and DXC Technologies for the implementation, and ongoing outsourced maintenance, of its critical whole of business ERP System; the re-negotiation of its agreements with Accenture for the Market Data Hub 5-minute settlement systems and IT outsourcing; and a broad range of technology contracts with suppliers, including Accenture, Telstra, SAP, Wipro, Amazon Web Services, and HP; and the complex technology separation of the Lattice Energy business.
Primary advisor to Perpetual’s Data Services business since its inception on its suite of data analytics, reporting and Regtech products for the Australian banking industry; developing standard customer terms and service modules; negotiating customer contracts and upstream supply arrangements; and advising on a broad range of complex matters involving intellectual property ownership and licensing, data protection and compliance issues.
