Johnson Winter Slattery (JWS) has promoted four senior lawyers to the partnership, effective 1 July 2025. Our promotions to Special Counsel and Senior Associate will be announced separately.

The firm’s new Partners are:
Tom Barrett (Energy & Resources, Perth): Tom is an energy and resources expert. He advises clients on the full lifecycle of mining, oil and gas and energy projects, as well as on M&A and joint ventures in the mining, oil and gas and energy sectors.
Kate Naude (Corporate, M&A & ECM, Sydney): Kate is an experienced corporate lawyer with deep expertise in M&A and equity capital markets, acting for corporates and private capital clients across the technology, healthcare and energy sectors. She also advises on joint ventures and strategic investments.
Andrew Pearce (Corporate, M&A & PE, Sydney): Andrew is a corporate lawyer with extensive experience in domestic and cross-border M&A deals, specialising in private equity, growth and venture capital, foreign investment and privately negotiated transactions across a variety of industry sectors, with particular focus on the technology and software sectors.
Andrew Ricciardi (Corporate, M&A, Perth): Andrew is a corporate lawyer specialising in equity capital markets transactions, M&A and ASX compliance matters, predominately for clients in the energy and resources space.
