Shariqa has advised clients in intellectual property, consumer law and regulatory matters for more than a decade. She provides end-to-end IP advice, from IP strategy and commercialisation to protection and enforcement. Shariqa has worked with some of the world’s most renowned brands, managing worldwide trade mark portfolios, advising on complex trade mark prosecutions, acting in IP enforcement actions and in Federal Court proceedings for copyright, patent and trade mark infringement, and domain name and advertising disputes.
While her practice spans all sectors, she is particularly passionate about supporting clients in the fashion, food and beverage, retail and life sciences industries. Shariqa also regularly advises clients on advertising, e-commerce and consumer law issues. She advises on IP due diligence issues including chain of title. Her regulatory expertise spans therapeutic goods, research and development (R&D) issues, clinical trials and medical devices.
