Dr Pamela Hanrahan is one of Australia’s leading experts in corporate law and governance, advising listed and private companies and investment funds on board policy and practice, directors’ duties, risk management, disclosure, and stakeholder engagement.
Pamela brings a unique perspective to our Board Advisory & Governance practice, drawing on her high-profile experience as a lawyer, academic, regulator, and non-executive director.
She assists boards and senior leaders in meeting changing regulatory, community and market expectations about governance, risk, sustainability and responsible business practice.
Pamela is a former Regional Commissioner of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and has advised or conducted several key inquiries into corporate and financial regulation. She is Chair of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and a member of the National Corporate Governance Committee of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Conexus Institute Advisory Board. Pamela is an Emeritus Professor of the UNSW Business School, a Senior Fellow of the Melbourne Law School, and author of several major Australian legal texts on corporate and securities law, including Securities and Financial Services Law (2021) and Directors’ Legal Responsibilities (2022).
