Johnson Winter Slattery (JWS) has advised Potentia Capital and management on the sale of the SuperChoice Group, via a competitive bid process, to global private equity firm, Intermediate Capital Group.
SuperChoice operates a market-leading superannuation contribution and rollover clearing house platform for employers and super funds, and provides other innovative digital payment solutions to assist businesses with their regulatory compliance. Last year alone, SuperChoice processed around 150 million transactions.
JWS advised on all legal aspects of the transaction, led by Partner James Rozsa, with Senior Associate Andrew Pearce and Associates Nathan Shapiro and Justin Huang.
Commenting on the deal, James Rozsa said, "This is a fantastic result for Potentia Capital and the management team. JWS advised Potentia on its initial investment in 2021, and it has been a pleasure to work with the Potentia and SuperChoice teams over the last four years. We look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of SuperChoice and congratulate Potentia, SuperChoice, ICG and all of the advisers involved."
