Prominent corporate lawyer and academic, Professor Pamela Hanrahan, joins Johnson Winter Slattery

Prominent lawyer, academic and author, Professor Pamela Hanrahan, today joins leading independent law firm, Johnson Winter Slattery. Dr Hanrahan will focus on corporate governance, collective investments regulation, and corporate disclosure and will enhance the firm’s strong corporate offering.

Dr Hanrahan holds a number of academic, board and committee appointments, including Professor of Commercial Law and Regulation at the University of New South Wales Business School, Deputy Chair of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and member of the National Corporate Governance Committee of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). She is an important voice on corporate regulation and directors’ duties and author of the AICD’s new book, Directors’ Legal Responsibilities – A handbook for Australian boards.

Her senior regulatory experience includes as a Regional Commissioner of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and as Registrar of Community Housing for New South Wales, and she has conducted or advised several key governmental inquiries and commissions into aspects of financial regulation.
