Jan is a Partner and Head of AI at Johnson Winter Slattery, a newly created firmwide role that combines leadership in artificial intelligence strategy and client implementation with an M&A/Private Equity practice. 

In this dual-focus position, Jan leads AI-driven legal solutions with clients while maintaining a legal practice advising on M&A transactions, corporate governance, foreign investment and strategic advisory matters. 

As Head of AI, Jan focuses on harnessing artificial intelligence to enhance the quality, efficiency and value of legal services delivered to clients. This includes developing client-facing AI-enhanced offerings spanning the firm's core disciplines including transactions, disputes and regulatory matters, piloting co-development projects with key clients and overseeing the firm's AI adoption roadmap. 

Jan has a longstanding focus on the intersection of technology and legal practice. From 2018 to 2022, Jan served as JWS' Director of Legal Innovation, during which he led a number of firm-wide initiatives to increase efficiencies and improve the way the firm utilised technology tools. Before joining Johnson Winter Slattery in 2013, Jan spent two years in the corporate advisory group of another major law firm. Prior to this, Jan was a corporate lawyer in the London and Dubai offices of a global law firm.
