He was the principal trade practices adviser to Qantas for decades, advising on key competition issues as, and when, they arose, he continues to play a role in advising Qantas. He also played a major role as the competition law adviser to the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, including gaining Trade Practices Act (now Competition and Consumer Act) legislative exemptions, and advising on competition and compliance aspects of major sponsorship agreements.
