Johnson Winter Slattery (JWS) has appointed Peter Feros, a leading tax lawyer and the former national head of tax at Clayton Utz, as a Partner in the firm’s Tax practice. Peter will lead the firm’s six partner Tax group.
Peter is based in Sydney and works nationally. He specialises in providing front-end strategic income tax advice to listed Australian and foreign corporates and domestic and foreign funds, with expertise in M&A and fund structuring.
Peter’s sector expertise includes the mining, professional services, property, technology and financial services sectors, and his clients come from a broad base of private equity, hedge funds and property funds. Peter also provides tax advice in insolvency-related situations, having advised numerous companies, administrators and creditors.
For many years, the JWS Tax group has been regarded as a leading tax practice in the Australian market, acting on large-scale ATO audits for multinationals and advising corporates and funds on their complex transactions.
