
Johnson Winter Slattery (JWS) is advising Inner Mongolia Xingye Silver & Tin Mining Co Ltd (Xingye) on its acquisition of Atlantic Tin Limited (Atlantic Tin) by way of a recommended off-market takeover bid.
Xingye is a public company incorporated in the People's Republic of China and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Xingye operates a large-scale mining enterprise engaged in the exploration, development and production of metallic mineral resources.
Atlantic Tin is an Australian unlisted public company focused on tin mineral exploration and development in Morocco. Through its Achmmach Tin Project near Meknes, Morocco, Atlantic Tin controls one of the largest new sources of tin supply globally.
This transaction highlights JWS' expertise in managing complex public M&A deals across multiple jurisdictions. JWS is working with Xingye’s team in China, Australian tax and accounting advisers (Grant Thornton) and Moroccan legal advisers (Mokhtari Avocats) on the transaction.
