Leading independent law firm Johnson Winter & Slattery has advised Archer Capital on its sale of V8 Supercars Holdings Pty Ltd, a motorsport entertainment services company that owns and operates the Supercars Championships.
Under this agreement, Racing Australia Consolidated Enterprises Ltd (RACE) has acquired 100% of the shares in the entity which were previously held by Archer Capital, management personnel and teams that compete in the Supercars Championship series.
RACE is a consortium of Australian private investors led by Melbourne Entrepreneur Barclay Nettlefold, together with the Australian Racing Group and Henslow.
Corporate partner Andrew Williams led the transaction, along with senior associate Andrew Turner, associate Nathan Ricardo and law graduate Jared McLachlan. The team also included:
