Morgen is a real estate lawyer with over 13 years’ experience in complex acquisitions and disposals of commercial, industrial, rural and large-scale residential real estate.
Morgen has been involved in complex interjurisdictional acquisitions and disposals and advising clients on all aspects of development work from site due diligence, negotiation of sales terms and acquisition documentation, title structuring, joint ventures and development agreements. She advises on contamination and environmental issues and property related taxes and duties. She also oversees the off the plan sale process for many of her developer clients.
Throughout her career Morgen has also gained a breadth of experience acting in commercial, industrial and retail leasing transactions. She assists large scale Landlords in maintaining their leasing portfolios and has many years of experience in advising and obtaining excellent outcomes for both Landlords and Tenants in their significant and/or complex leasing matters.
In recent years, Morgen has gained a niche interest and experience in affordable and social housing developments and retirement/aged care real estate projects.
In 2021 Morgen is serving on the UDIA NSW Urban Development Committee.
Advised on property due diligence and transaction documentation for $270 million purchase of 57 Goulburn St, Sydney.
Advised on the purchase of Tallawong Station and the Hills Showground Metro development sites from Sydney Metro and Landcom.
Advised in relation to the acquisition and renegotiation of option rights from a developer in relation to approx. 50 residential dwellings at Macquarie Park.
Advised on the Covid-19 regulation in relation to both retail and commercial tenancies in a 10 story building with multiple commercial and retail tenancies.
Advised in relation to various aspects of AYMCI's project at Sydney Olympic Park involving a 3000 unit development.
Advised in relation to the acquisition of contractual rights from an option holder holding 50 separate options across four separate significant sites in Sydney.
Advised on significant asset acquisitions for the Church, in particular new sites for school campuses and advising on and negotiating the acquisition of a significant retirement village (corporate and real estate assets).
