Karen O'Brien Special Counsel

Karen is a commercial lawyer with experience in corporate transactions and major projects in the energy & resources sector.

She has experience across mining and construction, upstream and downstream oil and gas and electricity industries. Karen advises clients on a range of commercial transactions including corporate and asset acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, farm-ins, royalties and commodity sale and purchase (in particular gas and electricity).

Karen also advises on project development matters including regulatory and wholesale market issues to procurement to the construction, access and use of infrastructure such as electricity networks and gas pipelines.

Advising on a wide range of construction, procurement and supply chain contracts for its Asia Pacific assets including its Western Australia, New South Wales, Papua New Guinea and Tanzania operations.
