Our Melbourne Partner Reynah Tang has co-authored an article with University of Akron’s (Ohio) Sarah A. Hinchliffe looking at Australia’s approach to the taxation of employee share schemes. Comparing this to the tax treatment of similar schemes in the United States, the authors suggest that Australian start-ups and small businesses could be disadvantaged in the global market.
