Johnson Winter & Slattery has been recognised as one of Australia’s top firms for Class Actions after being named one of Lawyerly’s Class Action Powerhouses 2019.
According to Lawyerly, its Class Action Powerhouses ranking acknowledges the firms “driving this market on the plaintiffs side and the firms companies are turning to the most to wage a class action defence.”
The firm was listed amongst Australia’s top 11 for class actions with partners Paul Reidy, Robert Johnson, Toni Vozzo, Paul Buitendag and Joseph Scarcella singled out as key players in this field.
Lawyerly’s report states that Johnson Winter & Slattery is one of three Class Action Powerhouses “in a class of their own, doing both plaintiffs and defence-side work” and lists the firm as one of the “elite Australian litigation shops… doubling their chances at a piece of the pie.”
“Johnson Winter & Slattery is taking the lead on some of the most complex class actions before the court – on both plaintiff and defence side,” adds the report.
Partner Robert Johnson said the firm was delighted to be ranked in this highly respected ranking.
“As an independent firm specialising in the most difficult transactions and disputes, clients turn to Johnson Winter & Slattery partners when involved in class actions given the high stakes and costs involved in these complex and challenging matters. Class actions play to our firm’s strengths with our top tier dispute resolution practice and our delivery model with strong and active partner involvement on all matters.
