  • Origin Energy: negotiating and drafting its highest value and most complex sale and purchase transactions. We also assisted in relation to price review processes under existing gas supply agreements, and negotiated two gas supply agreements valued at A$3 billion. Read more
  • Envestra: advising gas distribution business Envestra and its independent board committee in relation to APA Group’s $2.2 billion merger proposal by scheme of arrangement. At the time the merger was proposed, APA Group held a 33% interest in Envestra, and was its largest shareholder.
  • Australia Pacific LNG: representing APLNG in the negotiation and administration of contracts for the construction of a series of gas and water pipelines and pipeline facilities, together with camps and associated works.
  • Osaka Gas Niugini: advising Osaka Gas on a farm-in agreement and other issues with purchasing 40% of Horizon Oil’s interests in petroleum retention licences. Read more
  • Australian Energy Market Operator: AEMO has established a new web-based trading platform for trading short-term gas, known as the Gas Supply Hub. We provided external legal support to AEMO’s in-house team on the design of the hub’s legal architecture and documentation, and on proposed documentation for the trading of gas transmission capacity in connection with the hub.   • Cooper Energy: preparing and negotiating sale agreements and undertaking extensive due diligence investigations in two separate acquisitions of an aggregate 65% interest in the Basker Manta Gummy joint venture. Read more
  • Creasy Group: acting in the A$230 million sale of their 30% interest in the Nova Bollinger nickel project to Sirius Resources NL. Read more
